Now you have the ability to tune how much force your sway bar is applying by simply airing up or airing down your sway bar end links with the Apex airLYNX.  More air pressure equals more force (firmer feel). Less pressure equals less force - better off-road feel & performance (softer feel).

The airLYNX are not a replacement for the kwikLYNX. Here are the key differences between the two:

  • airLYNX provide ~50% sway bar disconnect while the kwikLYNX provide ~80% sway bar disconnect. Less disconnect travel is not a bad thing--the kwikLYNX is better suited for rock crawling and trail use where more articulation is needed while the airLYNX will excel off-road in higher speed applications where control is critical (can also be used for rock crawling).
  • kwikLYNX are simply a disconnect, It is either connected or disconnected. You cannot tune the amount of force that the sway bar is applying but gives you the extra articulation that you need while on the trail. The airLYNX allow you to tune the amount of force your sway bar is applying by simply airing up or airing down the links. More pressure = firmer feel -- Less pressure = softer feel

For Toyota/Lexus models:

  • 4Runner | 2003 - 2024 (4th & 5th Gen)
  • Tacoma | 2005 - 2024 (2nd & 3rd Gen)
  • FJ Cruiser | 2007 & Later
  • GX470 | 2003 - 2009
  • GX460 | 2010 & Later

airLYNX: How it works

  • The Apex airLYNX delay engagement to the stock sway bar when at zero PSI – they are fully disconnected for the first 3" of wheel travel – beyond the first 3” of wheel travel they produce a reduced rate of engagement (or force) that is being applied by the sway bar.
  • FOR EXAMPLE:

- 4” wheel travel = 25% Sway Bar engagement

- 5” = 35% SB engagement

- 6” = 45% SB engagement

- 7” = 55% SB engagement

- 8” = 65% SB engagement and so on.

  • Even when max articulation is reached the airLYNX are not fully engaging the full rate of the factory sway bar while at zero PSI. The more air you add to the airlynx the sooner your sway bar is engaged, giving you more control over how your vehicle responds in different driving conditions.

  • The delayed sway bar engagement of the airLYNX also adds a level of control because the sway bar is still active in the system applying force in rough terrain and sharp cornering. This control is much needed with IFS.

  • This allows you to tune the rate of engagement that your sway bar is producing by simply airing your links up or down.

  • More air pressure = more sway bar engagement all the way to lock out or full sway bar engagement

  • Less air pressure = less sway bar engagement. Better ride quality offroad and overall articulation.
