airLYNX - FORD BRONCO SWAY BAR DISCONNECT

SKU X02-09-002 - $490.00

Now you have an alternative to a trail rate sway bar! The airLYNX for the new Ford Bronco are adjustable rate sway bar end links that give you the ability to adjust the rate of your factory sway bar by simply airing up or airing down the links.

Once you find your preferred pressure (0-300PSI) you can either set it and forget it -  or dial it in per trail.

airLYNX BENEFITS and FEATURES:

  • Turn your factory sway bar into an adjustable rate sway bar (stock rate to light rate)
  • Gives you the benefit of a factory rate sway bar on-road and the performance of a trail rate sway bar off-road.
  • Increase control and traction off-road

Broncos offer 8” of stock wheel travel:

  • The Apex airLYNX delay engagement to the stock sway bar when at zero PSI – they are fully disconnected for the first 3 inches of wheel travel – beyond the first 3” of wheel travel they produce a reduced rate of engagement (or force) that is being applied by the sway bar.

  • For example:

    • 4” wheel travel = 25% Sway Bar engagement
    • 5” wheel travel = 35% SB engagement
    • 6” wheel travel = 45% SB engagement
    • 7” wheel travel = 55% SB engagement
    • 8” wheel travel = 65% SB engagement and so on

  • Even when max articulation is reached the airLYNX are not fully engaging the full rate of the factory sway bar while at zero PSI. The more air you add to the airlynx the sooner your sway bar is engaged, giving you more control over how your vehicle responds in different driving conditions.
  • The delayed sway bar engagement of the airLYNX also adds a level of control because the sway bar is still active in the system applying force in rough terrain and sharp cornering. This control is much needed with IFS

  • More air pressure = more sway bar engagement all the way to lock out or full sway bar engagement

  • Less air pressure = less sway bar engagement. Better ride quality offroad and overall articulation.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • NOT A DIRECT BOLT ON SOLUTION FOR THE 2.3L MODELS. AIRLYNX CAN BE ADAPTED TO THESE MODELS HOWEVER THE INSTALL ON THE BRAKE LINE RELOCATION IS DIFFERENT FROM THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED WITH THE KIT. THE BRAKE LINE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE REQUIRES ADDITIONAL BENDING IN ORDER TO GET IT TO FIT INTO THE RELOCATION BRACKET.
  • NOT FOR USE WITH SPACER LIFTS OF MORE THAN 1" OR SHOCKS THAT ADD MORE THAN 1" DROOP EXTENSION.
  • IF YOU HAVE AFTERMARKET LONG TRAVEL COILOVERS THAT ADD MORE THAN 1" OF DROOP TO THE FRONT SUSPENSION YOU WILL HAVE TO INSTALL LIMIT STRAPS. TOO MUCH DROOP WILL CAUSE THE airLYNX TO CONTACT THE SPINDLE.

airLYNX: How it works

  • The Apex airLYNX delay engagement to the stock sway bar when at zero PSI – they are fully disconnected for the first 3" of wheel travel – beyond the first 3” of wheel travel they produce a reduced rate of engagement (or force) that is being applied by the sway bar.
  • FOR EXAMPLE:

- 4” wheel travel = 25% Sway Bar engagement

- 5” = 35% SB engagement

- 6” = 45% SB engagement

- 7” = 55% SB engagement

- 8” = 65% SB engagement and so on.

This control is much needed with IFS.

  • This allows you to tune the rate of engagement that your sway bar is producing by simply airing your links up or down.

  • More air pressure = more sway bar engagement all the way to lock out or full sway bar engagement

  • Less air pressure = less sway bar engagement. Better ride quality offroad and overall articulation.
